Made here, today
Cakes, breads and sauces come out of our own kitchen each morning. Nothing is bought in and passed off as ours — which is why the case looks different at four o'clock than it did at ten.
Home / Our story
Since July 2019Café Mellow began as one nineteen-year-old's conviction that Tiruppur deserved better vegetarian food — and has spent every year since trying to earn that.

Gokul Raj M.S. opened the doors in July 2019, straight out of hotel management college. The plan was modest — run a Mumbai café franchise properly, in a city that didn't have many places like it.
Then came a pandemic, a lot of hard months, and a realisation that would decide everything after it: running somebody else's menu was never going to get us where we wanted to go.
In late 2022 we let the franchise go and reopened under our own name. The menu was rewritten from nothing in early 2023, the bakery went fully eggless, and the kitchen stayed pure vegetarian. Every recipe on the board today is ours.
Café Mellow is the brand; is the firm behind it. One kitchen, one address — , Tiruppur — and no franchise anywhere.

We put it up the week we reopened under our own name. Four years on, it is still the only brief the kitchen works to.
A franchised café on Muthusamy Street, run by a nineteen-year-old who had just finished hotel management college.
Lockdowns, shortened hours, and a great deal of learning. We kept the lights on and the ovens warm.
We leave the franchise behind and reopen under our own name — our recipes, our suppliers, our standards.
A proper espresso programme, hand-stretched pizza bases, and a bakery that goes 100% eggless. Nothing carried over.
Six ranges, from a ₹460 butterscotch to Belgian chocolate and creamy pistachio — plus sculpted 3D work to order.
Birthdays, first dates, exam-week study sessions, and a great many boxes of brownies leaving through the front door.
Deep booths for the people who stay three hours. Two chilled cases you can walk the length of. And a monogram on the back wall that most of Tiruppur can now recognise from the road.

One kitchen, one set of equipment, no exceptions. Eggless across the whole bakery, not just on request. Jain pizza is printed on the menu, not whispered about at the counter.
If the colour isn't right or the message is misspelt, we remake it. We have done it before and we will do it again. That part has never been up for discussion.
Muthusamy Street, off Avinashi Road. Open every single day, ten in the morning until ten at night. Walk in, or send a message first — either works.
